InCoWriMo Weekend One!

It’s the First Saturday of the First Weekend of InCoWriMo 2018! If you’re slightly behind (it is Day Three, after all) we’ll show you how to catch up quickly and easily – promise! If you’re right on track, the InCoRules do not prevent you from getting slightly ahead!

Today’s Featured Image (above) is brought to us by @catharinemisook, whose Instagram images are delightful works of art – into which you just want to jump and live happily ever after!

Today’s Recipient Nominee

It’s always rather intriguing to write to someone in a far off land. When that someone is a psychology student and a self-proclaimed curious Buddhist, things get even more interesting – and fun! Today’s nominee:

Pedro Rebouças
Rua Coronel Palimércio de Rezende, 65
São Paulo – SP
CEP 05505-010
Brazil

See? Things are fun already because of the cedilla in Pedro’s last name! While Pedro confesses that he has never written letters, most of us reading this blog would have to admit that we rarely (if ever) enjoy the need of using such a lovely diacritic – so thank you, Pedro!

Rebs (as most people call Pedro) loves languages and cultures. He is interested in – among other things – books, nonsense humor, tea, philosophy, poetry, ecology, dogs, travel, design, and cultivating friendships and the bonds that go with them.

The postage may be a wee bit more than usual, but sending some InCoLove to Pedro will surely be a rewarding investment.

Catch Up in a Flash!

If you find that you are slightly behind with your InCoWriMo correspondence, take heart! Bringing yourself current is easy-peasy. According to the InCoFAQs, the definition of correspondence is:

It can be a letter, a card, a note or a postcard. Really, it can be anything that you consider correspondence.

So even if you’ve yet to write anything, just grab the nearest piece of paper, the closest writing instrument, and write a quick little note to yourself. There! That’s one down. Need to catch up more? Repeat the process either by writing once again to yourself or to someone that you know you’ll see today. As soon as the note is delivered, you’re golden.

Yes, participation in InCoWriMo is supposed to be fun – so be sure you’re not putting too much pressure on yourself. You can do this – and we’re glad you’re InCo’ing along with us!

Address Exchange

The InCoWriMo 2018 Address Exchange is up and running! If you’re interested in receiving mail from other InCoWriMo Participants, add your name, address (and perhaps a few words about yourself) to the exchange. Visit the exchange to either share your address or look for willing victims recipients – or both!
