InCoWriMo Eve! Are we ready? WooHoo!

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow… Ahem. Sorry. I realize that for many an InCoWriMo participant (those on the other side of the International Date Line), InCoWriMo has already begun. I hope it’s going well over there! For the rest of us, we have a bit of planning time still available. Are we ready? I believe I am. Here’s what I’ve done: I’ve downloaded and filled out the InCoWriMo 2013 Planning Calender. I have a recipient listed for every day of InCoWriMo. The list is extremely flexible and will change drastically, but I feel better knowing that if I get stuck for a recipient, the decision has already been made. I’ve made a list of names/addresses. I know myself and if I have to hunt for addresses, it will slow me down and potentially de-motivate me. I’ve got more than enough names and addresses handy to keep me happily writing for the duration of InCoWriMo. I’ve gathered all InCoWriMo tools on the desk I will use tomorrow. Again, I don’t want to spend a lot of prep-time when the letter writing moment arrives. I want to sit down and have everything necessary (pens, papers, inks, envelopes, stamps) within arm’s reach. I’ve got that so I’m good to go. I’ve decided when and to whom I will write my first InCoWriMo letter. I will write my first InCoWriMo letter tomorrow (February 1st) at 8:30am. I’ve decided it’s the perfect time because a) I’m ready for the day, b) I’ve not yet started work, and c) I can still get the letter to the mailbox before the mail carrier arrives. My first InCoWriMo...

InCoWriMo 2013 Planning Calendar

February 1st – and the start of InCoWriMo 2013 – is fast approaching. Perhaps a little bit of planning would help? Here, for your use and enjoyment, is a handy InCoWriMo 2013 Planning Calendar. There are probably many ways in which to use the calendar, but here is what I have done: I’ve downloaded the calendar. I’ve printed the calendar. I’ve listed the name of the person to whom I plan to write each day. Here, have a look-see: The person to whom I write on any given day during InCoWriMo is very likely to change. But I like knowing that I have a bit of a game plan – that if I find myself in a huge rush on any given day, I won’t need to waste any time at all choosing a recipient for that day’s correspondence. I’ll simply look at my calendar, grab a pen, and write to the person listed for that day. If you’d like your own calendar, just download the PDF version here: InCoWriMo 2013 – PDF...
