Certificates of Participation and Achievement

We’ve got ’em – and you can have one!

As was the case with InCoWriMo’s first year (2013), it is my great pleasure to announce that InCoWriMo will award certificates to all participants of InCoWriMo 2014. Oh yeah, all participants!

Two types of certificates will be awarded:

  1. InCoWriMo 2014 Certificate of Participation
  2. InCoWriMo 2014 Certificate of Achievement

The Certificate of Participation will be awarded to any and all who:

The Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to any and all who:

Certificates will be awarded on the Honor System.
Certificates will be delivered via email as PDF documents.
InCoWriMo participants should claim only one of the two available certificates.
All requests for certificates must be received by March 31, 2014.

To claim a Certificate of Participation:

  • Wait until March 1, 2014. Until that date, there’s still hope, right?
  • Beginning March 1, 2014, you can claim your Certificate of Participation by sending an email to certificates@incowrimo.org. The subject of your email should read: Participation. In your email, please include a short note stating that you took the InCoWriMo Pledge and attempted to meet the pledge commitment. Please also include your name as you would like it to appear on your certificate.

To claim a Certificate of Achievement:

  • Wait until February 28, 2014.
The letter of the InCoWriMo Pledge states that you should hand-write and mail/deliver one piece of correspondence every day during the month of February. The spirit of the pledge allows for some latitude (you may need to write/send seven letters each Monday, for example). InCoWriMo Certificate Scribes would prefer to believe that the letter of the InCoWriMo Pledge is being followed as much as possible. For this reason, Certificates of Achievement should not be claimed until February 28, 2014.
  • Beginning February 28, 2014, you can claim your Certificate of Achievement by sending an email to certificates@incowrimo.org. The subject of your email should read: Achievement. In your email, please include a short note stating that you took the InCoWriMo Pledge and that you met or exceeded the pledge commitment. Please also include your name as you would like it to appear on your certificate.

I wish to thank each and every InCoWriMo participant for making this so much fun. Doing this together only adds to the enjoyment. As PostMuse says, “It’s flash mob, postal style!
